Golden Ticket Winners Steal the Show in Wellington's American Equestrian Got Talent Auditions 2024!
Wellington, FL – February 18th, 2024–
Master of Ceremonies, Chip McKenney, of McKenney Media kicked off the first Live American Equestrian Got Talent audition February 7th, 2024 at the Stallion Restaurant pool.
The Wellington equestrian community put aside their horse duties and enjoyed a wonderful night.
The AEGTUSA Judges were Wellington’s own celebrity judges:
· Patrick Burssens
o International Dressage Trainer and rider
· Lisa Wilcox
o US Olympic Rider and trainer
· Scott Durkin
o Douglas Elliman President and CEO and Dressage Rider
· Ki-Juan Minors
o First AEGT Winner and Hunter Jumper Trainer and rider
· Sarah Tubman
o US Dressage Gold medalist rider and trainer .
A total of 13 competitors showcased their talent. They included Emily Shecter, Carly Cantor, Lyla Chaubal, Rachel Reedy, Baxton Sumner BobbySumner, Annie McGrath, Steve Hansen, Carsyn Korotin, Laila Ewdards, Cheyenne Morris, Heather Durand, and duet Emma Claire and Dylan Murphy.
It was a very tough competition: the air was thick with excitement and the atmosphere was electric, but four singers set the room on fire.
Carsyn Koroktin mesmerized the audience with her heartfelt rendition of "Part of Your World" from "The Little Mermaid." Her performance left an indelible mark, showcasing her remarkable talent and ability to connect with her audience. Ki Juan Minors was blown away with her talent and gave her the first Golden Ticket of the night.
The excitement continued, and Cheyenne Morris stole the spotlight with her version of "Shallow” from Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Her voice exuded depth and emotion, captivating the audience and leaving them in awe. The judges were astounded by Cheyenne’s voice, especially Sarah Tubman who gave her the second Golden Ticket of the night.
After the break, the show continued and the third highlight of the night came. Carly Cantor stunned the audience. As a seasoned competitor, having reached the finals two times in previous years, Carly’s performance of “Isn’t It A Trial” brought tears to the eyes of many in the audience, earning her a standing ovation from the audience. Patrick Burrssen immediately rang the cowbell to give her the Golden Ticket.
Last, but by no means least, Annie McGrath sang a beautiful opera aria. She was pitch-perfect, showcasing her vocal range. Annie received the fourth Golden Ticket from Lisa Wilcox.
AEGT is not over yet. Don’t forget we have the second live auditions in Ocala, Florida Wednesday, March 6,2024 at Horse to Water Pool & Bar at The Equestrian Hotell . Fun and excitement are guaranteed. New performers will showcase their non-horsey talents .
